In our marketing webinar this month I shared a great resource for questions. Even if you attended the webinar, I thought you might like to know more about it.
Conversation Starters World is a website with tons of questions you can use as you like. For your own personal development. To enhance your relationships. Or as I suggested in our webinar, as content. Great, engaging content!
The good news about our webinar platform: You may have already noticed, but just in case you haven't, we're going back to Zoom for our monthly marketing webinars. The other platform failed two times out of three, and it was just too much disruption.
Bottom line: You don't have to register for this webinar! You may register if you want to get a confirmation and a reminder. But it's not necessary. Members will find the access link here: Spontaneous-Social
Can't make the webinar Thursday? You're covered! You will still get access to the video, slides, and notes on the DIY site, just as soon as it is ready. Yeah, baby!
To your prosperity & profitability,
Your Virtual Marketing Coach
One of the greatest things about the DIY is that our community is virtual. You don't have to leave your house to get support, guidance, and resources for your business.
Every month we have a group coaching call on Zoom for Premium members. Each participant get an initial 5 minutes, followed by a 90-second "lightning" round. That might not sound like a lot of time, but a lot gets done in these short but valuable sessions.
Wondering if group coaching would work for you?
Here's what DIYer Kimberly Ficklin has to say:
"Many say group coaching doesn’t work but I actually prefer it. The other business owners are inspiring as they work through their coaching and inevitably I learn something (or a few things) new on each call. Often, the subject that someone else is getting coaching on isn’t pertinent to me at the time but many times later, I’ll be able to use it and not have to use more coaching time to accomplish it."
And here's what DIYer Stephanie Arnheim says:
"It always surprises me at how my mind kicks into gear on other parts of my business as I hear what others are doing and gives me extra motivation and support."
Here's how to get the most out of your laser marketing coaching sessions:
1. Know what you want from our time together, and ask for it. Are you looking for feedback, answers, acknowledgment, support, guidance, ideas, celebration? Let me know so I don't make assumptions that leave you disappointed.
2. Be ready for your turn. Between each segment, I repeat the order that members will be served. I do this so you'll be prepared when it is your turn. Have the document or website open, so that when you share your screen you don't waste precious time searching folders or trying to remember your password while the clock is ticking.
3. Show up regularly, even if you don't have any questions to ask. You can share your successes, update us on your progress, brainstorm ideas, or get quick tips on your current projects. You can ask me to ask you a question, because yeah, I do coaching. 😊 You may find that validation and acknowledgment are tremendously reassuring and motivating, especially in trying times.
Our next group Marketing Coaching Call is on Wednesday at 2 PM Pacific. This is an exclusively Premium member event.
Not yet a Premium member? Current members can upgrade right now for only $47/month. Go ahead, email me with your questions. I promise to answer.
How are you doing, my friend? In these tough times, I hope that you are OK, and that you know that our DIY community is here for you. Yep, even though I am now in Spokane.
If your business is struggling because of the shutdown, you may be able to get some relief. Have you checked into the forgivable loans for small business program? Here's a link to see if you qualify: https://covid19relief.sba.gov
Another form of support available to you right now is the DIY Facebook group. You'll find lots of interaction, ideas, and helpful posts. And you'll find that you're not alone--even if you are stuck at home by yourself. 🥱
One example of the kind of support in the group is the beautiful banner (above) from artist Cynthia Mosser. She's offering 3 banners that you can download at tiny.cc/free_banners. Thank you, Cynthia! 🙏
Speaking of support, here's a note to Insider members. You can upgrade to full Premium membership for just $47 a month now, and you'll be locked in at that rate. Yeah, I hesitated to mention upgrading during this crisis, but it's a deal I can offer so this is me trying to help.
Premium members, our monthly Virtual Mastermind meeting is on Wednesday. We're going to talk about Canva tips and tricks, so bring your secret hacks to the meeting to share. Be sure to cast your vote 🗳️ for this month's second discussion topic in our Facebook group.
Thank you all for your kind messages on my move. Your support sustains me. 🤗
I know this is a bad week for there to be no Action Calls. The good news is that DIYer Victoria Cook has stepped up to host a member-run Action Call on Monday. See her post in our Facebook group for details: https://www.facebook.com/groups/diymarketingcenter/
All regular DIY programming will resume on Monday, April 6th. In the meantime, I will do my best to review and respond to your posts and questions in our Facebook group.
Please put your health and safety first. We can get through this--together.
Still have some of that sweet Mastermind noney hanging around, and want to spend it on a coaching session?
Since I will be on the road and without a set mailing address for a while, virtual redemption is the answer. It is quick, easy, and you can do it! Here's how:
Step 1: With a sharpie or other THICK felt pen, write the following information on the BACKS of the bills:
The redemption date (the date you're emailing it in)
Number of bills to redeem
See the example above, with my name, date, and number of bills:
1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3
Step 2: Take a picture with the information clearly visible on all the bills in a single image (bunch 'em up if you have to). Yes, you can barely see my name, but it is obvious that they are from me.
Step 3: Send me the photo via Facebook messenger or email (Ronnie@VeronikaNoize.com). Be sure to mention TWO things: ONE, the amount of Mastermind money you are redeeming. TWO: What kind of credit you want for your Mastermind money. Applied to a future coaching session or an event or program?
Step 4: Once you've received your credit notification from me, just tear the bills in half and recycle.
Please note: Only whole bills can be redeemed. Your name and the date MUST be written ON the bills, NOT added with a photo editor.
Questions? Please post them in our Facebook group so that everyone can benefit from the answer. Because if YOU have a question about this, odds are good that someone else does, too. Thank you.
It's a new format for the discussion segment of this month's Virtual Mastermind meeting. So instead of me yakking about some topic, we get to plumb the depths of our members' genius and experience. 👍
Here's how it works:
Each member gets 90 seconds to show, explain, introduce or share a tip or resource. This is more than simply mentioning a favorite tool, app or website. We expect a visual demonstration so you can actually show us what you're talking about. How cool is that? 😎
Couple of guidelines:
First, there must be a live demo or visual to go with the suggested resource. We'll use Zoom's screenshare for this. Second, be sure to post the link to the resource in the chat in the Zoom meeting so we all get it.
How it looks:
Just like our round-robin style of suggestions and laser coaching, each person gets a turn. The turns last 90 seconds, which is plenty of time to share, but not so long that prep becomes a chore. 😓
Let's say you want to share the Advanced Marketing Institute's headline analyzer. When it's your turn, you post the link in the chat (https://www.aminstitute.com/). Then share your screen to the open window in your browser and demo the tool for the group.
Instead of mentioning the tool, you show us a headline with the rating. Then, show us what happens when you change a word. Does the rating increase? As you see in the images above, I tried the "Each One Teach One" headline first. The 50% rating is very good, but I wondered if I could improve it, so I added the word "Introducing" to boost the rating to 60%. Boom! So when you share, show us how it works.
Maybe you want to share the tool that makes your Canva images into animated gifs. To prepare, make sure you have your finished image ready to download first. Then, show us the different gif options we could download.
Now, if you're a regular Canva user, you already know the reason for this advance preparation. Not all Canva images can be animated, so you'll want to make sure your image can be before you begin your demo. Otherwise we won't get to see the cool thing, and you'll have a little egg on your face. (Don't worry, I've had whole quiches on my face before!) 🤦
Doesn't this sound fun and interesting?!? This next Virtual Mastermind should be super valuable! I am looking forward to seeing what our Premium members bring to share.
Remember, registration is optional. The access link is on the Mastermind Meetings page. If you like and/or want an email reminder, go ahead and save your place below.
Not a Premium member but want to attend this meeting? You can upgrade to Premium at any time. Let me know if you have questions. 🤔
To your prosperity & profitability,
